my experiment has slightly been changed and my 2 part experiment is only going to be the first part.

the method for my experiment is
aim:
to investigate which solutions sweet potato slips best grow in.

equitment:
- 3x sweet potatos
- 3x containers
- 12x toothpicks
- salt
- sugar
- water

method:
1) pour 3 jars with 400ml of water and mix 100grams of salt into one, 100grams of sugar in another and leave the last jar with plain water
2) poke 4 toothpicks into the circunference of a verticle sweet potato, about 3/4 the way up. Then do the same for the next 2
2) place each sweet potato into the jars with the toothpicks forming a stand that keeps the top 1/4 of the potato out of the solution
3) measure the length of the first root that appears every 24hrs
4) record results for each solution in a table

risk assesment:
low
- jar can break; minimize this risk by handling with care and working in a cleared area.
